Predator, now available on Sweat Shop Records, is the final studio album from the legendary German band. The decision to close the fiery circle was hard for the remaining members of Accept - vocalist Udo Dirkschnieder, guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and bassist Peter Baltes. Fans should not see this as an end but rather a new beginning.

Predator re-teams Accept with long-time friend Michael Wagner, the producer who made his mark with the band in their early days. It was their collaboration, in fact, that propelled both to the center of attention - Accept selling millions of records world-over and Wagner onto a prosperous production career. Recorded in Nashville, Predator has all the markings of another hallmark Accept recording. From album opener "Hard Attack" to "Lay It Down", "Don't Give A Damn" to "Primitive", it is an album that reaffirms the band's lengthy hold to the metal throne.

Since the beginning, Accept have pushed music to its limits. While still teenagers rehearsing, the original line-up of Joerg Fischer, Stefan Kaufmann, with Dirkschnieder, Hoffmann and Baltes possessed a fanatic attitude - a characteristic that still lies at the band's core. As people, the band have experienced life together. They have seen a fair share of good and bad times. Through it all, the music and it's message has remained strong and unwavering.

Fans can look forward to individual recordings from the members of Accept in the coming year. The first project is Solid, a new solo record from Dirkschnieder. It will be available on Gun Records shortly. Hoffmann is writing an instrumental guitar album that he hopes to record shortly. And Baltes, who just teamed up with John Norum, is preparing for a Japenese tour in support od the ex-Europe guitarist's new album.

It's been a long road for Accept. As forerunners of heavy metal, their music, lyrics and convictions have been a gift. If fans regret the end, they should reflect on the body of music that they leave to enjoy for one has to believe, talents don't get lost, they might only rest for a while...
